Frequently asked questions

Take 2 Omega-3 pills with some water. Once a day.

Consume them ideally alongside a meal for a more pleasurable taste experience.

Omega-3s - ALA (plants), EPA and DHA (fish/algae) - support heart, brain, and eye health, reduce inflammation, and promote overall well-being.

Fish don’t naturally produce omega-3s themselves, they get them from eating algae. We go straight to the source and obtain our omega-3 directly from algae.

Our Plenny meals do contain omega-3 - specifically ALA which is what you’ll find in things like flaxseed and chia.

But ALA is only one part of the omega-3 family. Your body can turn some ALA into EPA and DHA - the types most directly linked to brain, eye, and cardiovascular benefits - but it’s not the most efficient process. That’s where our supplement comes in: it tops up your ALA intake with ready-to-use EPA and DHA from algae, so you’re covered from every angle.

The recommended upper limit for combined EPA and DHA is 5g per day - a level you won’t come close to reaching with 2 omega-3 pills plus Plenny meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Eating fish, especially fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, or sardines, is a good source of EPA and DHA. However, not all fish contain enough, and you would need 1–2 portions of fatty fish per week to consistently meet the EFSA’s recommended 250 mg EPA+DHA per day.

If you only eat fish occasionally, choose fish with lower omega-3 content, or simply want a reliable and sustainable option, supplementing with high EPA and DHA omega-3 capsules is a convenient way to make sure you’re covered every day.
